His comedic characters made him famous and he began the career of a filmmaker who had high hopes. The accolades grew as he played Batman's own superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. He grew as an actor in the years to come and then ventured into the production and direction worlds. The performance he made in the 2014 film Birdman brought him nominations and accolades.
